The difference between our four services lies in which entrance you choose to the same Manor and the same butlers. Women who wish to be waited upon choose The Salon; those who wish to use the Manor for photography, meetings, a green room or location filming choose The Studio.

First choice

If you wish to be waited upon, choose The Salon

What kind of entrance	The Salon is the service in which a lady becomes lady of the Manor and spends her time being waited upon by a butler.
Who may visit	The Salon is for women only. Gentlemen may not enter the Manor, even as companions.
Time, price and party size	Visits last from 2 to 6 hours at ¥8,800 per hour (tax included). We welcome parties of up to six: for one guest we keep the quiet, for two we read the pauses in conversation, and for several we arrange seating and the flow of belongings.
Food and drink	We do not serve meals. You are welcome to bring your own food and drink. Where needed, the butler will help with serving and setting the table.
Deciding on the day	There is no need to decide everything at booking. Once you have seen the Manor's lighting and furnishings, you may choose whether to go through to the Fireplace Room or settle in the Study.
Leaving	As the hour of your departure draws near, the butler gathers your belongings, returns your coat and sees you out beyond the entrance door. This entrance is to be savoured as a single span of time, from the first bow to the last.

Use the manor

If you wish to use the Manor for a purpose, choose The Studio

The Studio is the service in which the antique Manor becomes a setting for photography, meetings, a green room or location filming, with a butler supporting the occasion. Rather than merely hiring a backdrop, you may ask us to cover reception at the entrance, a guide to the furnishings, ushering of participants and assistance during the shoot.

For commemorative portraits, you may move between the Dining Room, the Study, the Fireplace Room and the gallery, changing compositions as you go. For meetings, we welcome your visitors at the door, take their coats and bags, and arrange where papers and refreshments should be placed. The Manor is never let out unattended.

A butler will also drive you in a black Alphard on a return journey to Tokyo Teleport Station, Tokyo International Cruise Terminal Station, DiverCity Tokyo Plaza, AQUA CiTY ODAIBA or DECKS Tokyo Beach. Chauffeured pick-up is a service included with your plan. There are days on which the vehicle is unavailable, so we confirm availability when you book.

The Footman

The Footman — Apprentice Butler Experience

The Footman is a three-hour experience in which you wear a full morning coat ensemble and try the bow, the stance and the handling of silverware. A butler demonstrates beside you and stays with you through to a commemorative photograph.

Who will be visiting?

The Salon is for ladies of the house; the other three services are open to everyone.

Is the time itself the point, or a purpose?

If you wish for the time of being waited upon itself, choose The Salon; if you have a clear purpose such as a shoot or a meeting, The Studio suits.

Will you wear a butler's attire?

If you wish to wear a morning coat and try the bearing, please choose The Footman.

The Studio and The Footman welcome everyone. The Salon is a service that welcomes ladies of the house.

QMay I use two services on the same day?

Please describe the combination you have in mind on the booking form. A butler will check dates, party size, attire and any photography arrangements, and advise on what is possible.

QCan I see all the prices in one place?

Base prices are shown on each service's pricing page. For combined visits, a butler will advise once we have heard your plans.

QWhich service suits a quiet time alone?

For a lady of the house, The Salon is the answer. The butler keeps his distance until called, preserving the quiet for you to spend with a book or music.

QFor photographs, should I choose The Studio or The Footman?

If the photography itself is the purpose, The Studio; if you wish to keep a memento of time spent in butler attire learning the bearing, The Footman. Tell us the scene you have in mind and a butler will explain the difference.

QMay I enquire about a visit that includes children?

Please let us know ages, party size and the service you have in mind when booking. A butler will reply after considering the Manor's furnishings and layout.

Who welcomes you

At each of the four entrances, a Queen's Butler butler welcomes you

Queen's Butler is run by the Japan Butler Association. At The Salon, The Studio and The Footman, the Association's male and female butlers are in residence, taking on the role each occasion calls for within the same Manor.

At The Salon they arrange the lady's time; at The Studio they support the proceedings; at The Footman they demonstrate attire and bearing beside you. Whichever entrance you choose, the manner is the same: the door made ready, a bow of welcome, your wishes heard, and a farewell at the end.

At the Online Shop no butler is present, yet the background, specifications and made-to-order terms of each piece are set out with care in writing. The entrances that bring you to the Manor and the entrance that brings its world to your home are yours to choose as one Queen's Butler.
