About Apprentice Butler Experience: Enquiries and Reservations

Enquiries and reservations for the Apprentice Butler Experience are the means by which we confirm the attire and the butler's availability for the three-hour experience. Your enquiry is received as an apprentice booking, and we require your height, build and shoe size, your preferred date and time, and the number in your party. Sending the form does not confirm the date; please await your butler's reply confirming the availability of attire and the house.

Reservation

Why are height, build and shoe size required?

Your sizes allow Queen's Butler to have a complete morning-coat ensemble ready to welcome you on the day. Beyond the coat, we prepare waistcoat, shirt, tie, white gloves, shoes and top hat, so please be sure to tell us your height, build and shoe size.

As a guide, men's attire suits heights of around 160–185cm, women's around 150–160cm, and shoes 24.0–27.5cm. If you fall outside these ranges, please still enter your actual measurements and consult us in the free-text field.

For two or more guests, we need sizes for everyone. When booking as a gift, please confirm the height, build and shoe size of the person who will take part before sending.

What the form asks of you

Your enquiry is received as an Apprentice Butler Experience booking.
Height, build and shoe size are required to check the availability of attire.
Please be sure to give your preferred date and time and the number of guests.
Both male and female butlers are in residence. A preference may be stated, but is optional.
You may indicate whether the booking is a gift.

Please note before sending

Sending the form does not confirm your date. Please await your butler's reply.
We do not accept bookings for unattended use of the Manor. A butler always accompanies the experience.
Meals are not served. You are welcome to bring food and drink.

What happens between sending and the day?

Check the required fields and your contact details, then press "Send". Please give an email address at which you can receive a copy of what you sent.

We review your enquiry

Your butler reads through your preferred date and time, the number of guests, height, build and shoe size. For two or more, we also check that everyone's details are complete.

We match attire and date

We check the availability of attire, the house and the butler who will accompany you. Any preference for a male or female butler is also checked at this stage.

Your butler replies

We reply by email with the outcome and the next steps. If we need anything further, we ask specifically in the reply.

Confirm the terms and the booking

Confirm the three-hour experience at ¥49,800 per person incl. tax and the cancellation policy, and your booking is confirmed.

A first experience

No experience of etiquette is required. The Apprentice Butler Experience is three hours accompanied by one butler, covering attire and seven elements of the programme. Please write anything you are wondering about in the free-text field.

Subject to the availability of attire. If you include the number of guests and everyone's height, build and shoe size, we can check the combinations and reply.

Gift

Booking as a gift

A gift booking is one in which the giver begins the enquiry, having confirmed the sizes of the person who will take part. If you need discretion in how we make contact, please tell us in the free-text field.

Privacy

How is the information you enter used?

Sizes	Height, build and shoe size are used to check the availability of the morning-coat ensemble prepared for the day.
Preferred date and guests	Used to check the availability of the house, attire and the accompanying butler, and to reply with the dates we can offer.
Butler preference	Used to confirm your preference among the male and female butlers in residence. This field is optional.
Gift booking	Used, where the applicant and the participant differ, to avoid confusing whose sizes we check and whom we contact.
Contact details	Used to send a copy of your enquiry and our reply, and to make any further checks required.

QCan I apply without giving my sizes?

Height, build and shoe size are required. To check the availability of the full ensemble and prepare attire that fits on the day, please give your actual measurements.

QIs one preferred date enough?

A preferred date and time is required. If you have several candidates, please list them in order of preference in the free-text field.

QHow do I apply for two people?

Enter 2 as the number of guests, complete the required fields for the first person, and write the second person's height, build, shoe size and attire preference in the free-text field. We check the availability of attire for each.

QCan women apply?

Yes. Women's attire is prepared for heights of around 150–160cm. Queen's Butler has female butlers in residence, and we can take your preference for the butler who accompanies you.

QWhat if I fall outside the size guide?

Our guide is shoes 24.0–27.5cm, and heights of around 160–185cm for men's attire and 150–160cm for women's. If you fall outside these, please still enter your actual sizes and consult us in the free-text field.

QIs my booking confirmed once I send the form?

Sending alone does not confirm it. A butler of Queen's Butler checks the availability of attire, the house and the butler, and replies by email. Please confirm the details in that reply.
