About Photography Plans
A photography plan is the unit by which the Manor of Queen's Butler The Studio is used, matched to your purpose and the time required.

All fees include tax. Bookings are from 3 hours (Light Shoot from 2 hours). Opening hours are 9am to 9pm; extensions are ¥16,800 per hour (until 9pm). From the fifth guest, ¥5,800 per person (maximum 6). Additional butler attire ¥12,800 per person. Arranging a professional photographer from ¥44,800 for 2 hours. Sundays and public holidays carry a 20% surcharge.

Standard: three hours to move through the Manor
From the Dining Room, the Study, the Fireplace Room, the Bedroom, the Wardrobe and the corridor, choose the scenes that suit the impression you wish to keep, and photograph with your own camera or smartphone.

A single portrait, the gaze between two, a photograph of the whole family: we separate each, and place any keepsakes you bring at a considered distance from the collection.

Everyone, each generation, husband and wife, parent and child: we ask first which combinations you wish to keep. A Queen's Butler butler adjusts the heights of those seated and standing and the play of attire against the background.

If in doubt, consider three things: the volume of photography, attire and load-in

Share the volume of equipment, the rooms you will use and any wish to move the collection before booking, so that the order of shooting and load-out can be confirmed. |

From booking to departure in five steps
Tell us your purpose
Through the enquiry form, tell us whether it is a shoot, a meeting, a green room or location hire, and the photographs or use of time you wish to complete.
Tell us the guests and attire
We ask the number of guests including photographers and companions, whether you will bring attire, and any wish to wear butler attire together with sizes.
Settle the date and preparations
We check the Manor's availability and decide with the butler which spaces to use, where lighting equipment will stand, the props and the order of load-in.
Arrival
At 2-7-4 Aomi, Koto-ku, Tokyo, a butler welcomes you, takes your belongings and shows you through the Manor.
The shoot or the session
The butler arranges chairs and light, makes the preparations your purpose requires, and waits within the room at the distance needed while protecting the collection.
What every plan includes
- One butler in attendance, male or female, with reception, guidance and farewell
- Placement of chairs, props and candlesticks, checking where lighting equipment stands and the passages, and assistance during the shoot
- Guidance on where to set what you bring and the order in which to move through the Manor
- Chauffeured pick-up (to and from five locations, included with the plan, availability confirmed at booking)
- Suggestions of scenes suited to your purpose from the Manor's eleven zones
What to arrange in advance
- Arranging a photographer and editing the images
- Meals. You are welcome to bring your own food and drink
- Use of the Manor unattended
- Moving the collection or taking it outdoors without prior consultation
QCan I choose a plan even as a first-time guest?
Yes. Tell us your purpose, the number of guests, your preferred date and time and the scenes you wish to capture, and a butler will set out the options.
QMay I bring my own camera or smartphone?
Yes. Photography is done with your own camera or smartphone, or with the equipment of a photographer you have arranged. The Manor has lighting equipment, and we confirm its use and placement on the day.
QCan I book for one, or for six?
Yes. From a single portrait to a maximum of six guests. The number includes photographers and companions, and fees from the third guest are explained according to the plan you choose.
QMay I bring attire or keepsakes?
Yes. You may bring attire, flowers, letters, photographs and the like. We ask about size and fragility in advance, and the butler arranges a place at a safe distance from the collection.
QMay I bring food and drink?
Yes. You may bring food and drink, though the Manor does not prepare meals. If used in the shoot, the butler will show you where it can be set to protect the collection and how to clear it.
QMay I request a female butler?
Both male and female butlers are in service at the Manor. Please tell us your preference when booking. As the butlers available differ by date, we confirm before making the introduction.
About using The Studio
- The manor is never let unattended. A butler is present for every booking, and keys are not handed over
- You are welcome to bring your own food and drink. We do not provide meals
- Please use the antique furnishings under the butler's guidance. The armour, hall clock, porcelain and silver are handled by the butler
- Please consult us in advance about loud sound or the use of naked flames
