About Capacity and Layout
Capacity and layout is a guide to arranging the Manor of Queen's Butler The Studio safely for up to six people according to your purpose. Whether for a shoot, a meeting, a green room or a recording, your butler asks your purpose and arranges the desks, chairs, luggage and passages accordingly.

The Manor is within a shared building. For safety and quiet, we cannot accept bookings above this limit.

Before the number of people, tell us what you will do in the Manor
Choosing a layout is not a matter of counting chairs but of deciding where the principal moves and where their gaze falls. Your butler asks who is photographing, who is photographed, who speaks and who waits, and suggests spaces in which they are least likely to cross. Even at the same maximum of six, a shoot and a meeting need different margins.
Used alone, the Manor lets you narrow the purpose to a single point: time with documents or small objects in the Study, or a full-length picture in the Dining Room. For two, deciding in advance between a facing composition, a side-by-side one, or one in which one person photographs the other keeps movement calm. The more people, the more important it becomes to separate in advance where people wait and where bags are placed.
For six, please tell us when everyone gathers in one place and when roles divide. Your butler manages the doors and the running order while keeping bags clear of the furnishings and leaving a way through for the next person. The Manor is never let unattended, and your butler is present whenever the layout is changed.

For shoots, choose by background and room to move
The Dining Room fits the long table and chandelier in one frame. The Study makes use of the desk and bookcase, the Lounge of the sofa and fire, and the order of moving on to the Bedroom or Gallery is decided in advance.

The Dining Room suits discussion around the table; the Study suits a few people talking over documents. Your butler separates the side served from the side where papers are spread, and keeps the way to the door clear.

Costumes go in the Wardrobe; the belongings of those waiting in the Bedroom or Lounge. Your butler keeps the mirror clear and arranges an order that avoids mix-ups on the way to the venue.

Put the purpose in one sentence
Tell us who will do what, in which space. If a shoot is followed by a meeting, we also ask in what order you will switch.
Count everyone entering the Manor
Include not only those photographed but those photographing, assisting and handling costumes. The maximum is six.
Separate your belongings
Tell us costumes, equipment, documents, food and drink, and personal items separately. Your butler plans where each goes and the order in which they are brought in.
Fix the principal's position
The background for a shoot, the seating order for a meeting, the mirror and clothes rail for a green room. From there we keep margin for people to pass.
Leave a way for your butler
Where doors must be opened or tea served, a path is kept for a butler carrying a tray to pass quietly. For confidential moments, the butler withdraws outside the door.
What your butler prepares before the layout
- The direction of the chairs to suit the purpose, and an arrangement within reasonable limits
- Separate places for costumes, equipment, documents and personal items
- A passage from the entrance to the principal space
- A place for tea and any food and drink you bring. We do not serve meals
- Lines of movement for photographer and subject, or for the meeting and the butler
What we cannot accept
- Use by more than six people
- Moving furnishings yourselves before your butler has confirmed they may be moved
- Standing on furnishings, or placing heavy objects directly on them
- Layouts that block doors, shared areas or escape routes
- Fixings that damage floors or furniture, or adhesives without permission
On rainy days and days with much luggage, the layout begins at the entrance
Arrangement on arrival covers not only the desks and chairs inside, but where wet rainwear and precious costumes are kept apart. Your butler receives you at the door and takes wet items away from the antique furnishings. Please divide cases of equipment and costumes into what is needed at once and what is needed later.
On days when you are eager to begin shooting, bringing in only what the first scene needs, rather than spreading everything near the entrance, allows a calm start. For meetings, coats and documents are kept apart; for green rooms, costumes and personal items. Checking by the same divisions on leaving makes forgotten items easier to find.
Chauffeured pick-up, driven by a butler in a black Alphard, is available only between the Manor and five points including Tokyo Teleport Station. It is a service accompanying your plan. There are days when the vehicle is unavailable, so we confirm when you book. Butlers able to drive are limited, so please request this when booking.

What lies in the line of sight
For meetings, who faces whom and which way the projection is seen; for shoots, which furnishings fall behind the subject. We also ask whether everyone must face the same way.

Rather than piling costumes and equipment in one place, keep near you only what the scene needs. What waits is gathered in consultation with your butler, protecting the furnishings and passages.

QCan more desks and chairs be added?
If you wish to bring furniture, please tell us the dimensions and quantity before booking. We check that the Manor's furnishings, doors and passages can be protected and advise where items may be placed.
QIs the Manor too large for one or two?
We arrange the space around the one that suits your purpose, so even a small party can settle comfortably. From the Study, the Lounge and the Dining Room, your butler suggests the background and furniture that suit a shoot or a conversation.
QDoes the photographer count within the six?
Yes. Please include everyone entering the Manor. Not only those photographed, but those photographing, dressing and assisting, up to six in all.
QCan the seating be changed on the day?
Your butler is present and arranges what can be done while protecting the furnishings. Some pieces are fixed or cannot be moved, so please tell us the composition or seating order you have in mind before booking.
QCan a place be made for food and drink?
You may bring your own food and drink. We do not serve meals. Tell us what you plan to bring, and your butler will arrange a place away from the equipment, documents and antique furnishings.
About using The Studio
- The manor is never let unattended. A butler is present for every booking, and keys are not handed over

- Please use the antique furnishings under the butler's guidance. The armour, hall clock, porcelain and silver are handled by the butler
