About Apprentice Butler Experience Fees
The fees for the Apprentice Butler Experience cover the time in which you wear a morning coat and, with one butler in attendance, learn the ways of deportment. The basic three hours cost ¥49,800 per person (tax included), including a full costume, the practice of deportment, a commemorative photograph in the Manor and one keepsake chosen from a pocket watch and other items. Eight plans are available according to numbers, hours, time of day and whether it is a gift.
What makes up the time your fee brings you?
The experience included in the fee is three hours at Queen's Butler, from changing into your costume to your departure, in which a butler supports you through each act of deportment. This is not a mere hire of costume: one butler always attends you, guiding you through posture, the bow, tea, silver and service within the flow of the Manor.
Beyond the double doors your butler bows, and in the wardrobe the coat, waistcoat, shirt, tie, white gloves, shoes and top hat are made ready. The moments spent adjusting your collar and gloves are themselves precious, for you notice how dress changes the way a person stands.
After the deportment, your butler helps you take a commemorative photograph on your own smartphone against the furnishings of the Manor. Finally, you receive one keepsake chosen from a pocket watch and other items, and your butler accompanies you to the double doors.

What the fee includes
- A full costume: coat, waistcoat, shirt, tie, white gloves, shoes and top hat.
- One butler attends you for three hours, from dressing through deportment to the photograph and the presentation of your keepsake.
- The seven elements of the experience are deportment, the bow, making tea, handling silver, service, a commemorative photograph and a keepsake.
- For the commemorative photograph in the Manor, your butler takes your own smartphone and presses the shutter.
- A butler of Queen's Butler attends you from welcome to farewell as part of the care included in the plan.
What the fee does not include
- Taking the costume home is not included. You change back in the Manor after the experience.
- For sessions whose main purpose is photography, please see the Studio via the commemorative photography page.
- Meals are not served. You are welcome to bring food and drink.

QWhat does ¥49,800 include?
The three-hour experience, a full morning coat, one butler in attendance, the practice of deportment, a commemorative photograph in the Manor and one keepsake chosen from a pocket watch and other items.
QHow much is it for two?
Apprentices in a Pair, 3 hours, is ¥89,800 (tax included) for two. Please tell us both participants' height, build and shoe size in advance.
QCan four or more take part?
The Family & Friends plan is ¥128,800 for three and ¥159,800 for four. For five or more, we check costume stock and sizes and quote individually. The Manor holds a maximum of six in total.
QCan we extend the time?
Extensions are ¥16,800 per hour, subject to availability on the day. If you wish to spend longer on photographs, you may also consider Extended Photography, 4 hours, ¥66,800.
QCan I take part in a tailcoat?
Yes. The change to a tailcoat is ¥10,800 per person. Combined with Apprentice by Evening, the dress is shown at its best by candlelight.
QWill I be refunded if I cancel?
If you cancel more than 30 days before your date, before an attending butler has been assigned and preparations have begun, we refund the full amount. Please see the cancellation policy for details.
