Seaside

After the manor, the chauffeured drive included in your booking takes you to the seaside

In an Alphard driven by a butler, we head for places with a view of the Rainbow Bridge, such as Decks Tokyo Beach and Aqua City Odaiba. The butler opens the door, checks the hem of your attire and your belongings, and after dusk a photograph with the car at night is possible too.

Photography outside the manor takes place within your booked time, with a butler accompanying you. The drive is a return journey between the manor and one of five locations, for up to six guests, and is included with your plan. On some days the vehicle is unavailable, so we confirm at the time of booking.

Leaving the manor in its costume (the butler's attire) is by permission only.

Scenes

Choosing scenes for a pre-wedding session means deciding the backdrop from the shape of your attire and the way you move

The Double DoorsThe stillness before the doors open, the moment a white glove touches them, and the two of you walking through side by side, captured as one sequence. A butler checks the width of the passage so that a long train or a bouquet never touches the doors.
The Dining RoomAgainst the 1980s English yew table and the nine-light Maria Theresa chandelier, we photograph you facing one another, seated side by side, and hands looking at rings or a letter.
The Fireplace RoomUsing the gold damask walls, the electric fireplace and the wine-red sofa, the distance changes from standing full-length to the two of you seated. Please bring any bouquet or keepsake.
The BedroomThe nineteenth-century French corbeille bed curves upward at head and foot, like a basket of flowers.
The StudyThe 1980s English leather-topped desk, the black leather chair, the globe, the typewriter and the knight's armour form a composed backdrop.
The CorridorThe 155 cm pendulum hall clock and a butler seen from behind lend depth. We photograph you walking together, glancing back and pausing before the door, linking the scenes of the manor.

QWhat kind of light is used inside the manor?
A

Inside the manor we combine the light of the chandelier, candelabra, fireplace and lighting equipment. For the seaside we check the weather and, if conditions are difficult, substitute another scene within the manor.

QIs there somewhere to change into a dress?
A

The Wardrobe has a mirror, a chair and hanging space, and you may change with the door closed. A butler waits outside the Wardrobe door, within the manor. Once you are ready, we check the hem and the passage and show you to the scene.

QCan family be photographed with us?
A

Yes, up to six people including the photographer and those accompanying you. From the fifth person onwards, ¥5,800 per person is added.

QIs it all right on a rainy day?
A

Inside the manor, whatever the weather, the session proceeds with the light of the chandelier, candelabra, fireplace and studio lighting. If the seaside is difficult, we substitute another scene within the manor, such as the Study, the bedroom or the corridor.

QIs a bouquet included in the price?
A

A bouquet is not included. Please bring any bouquet, letter or other item you wish to use. If you would like a butler to present it, we confirm in advance which parts may be touched and how it is to be handed over.

QAre there female butlers?
A

Both male and female butlers are in residence. Please let us know any preference when booking. One butler remains in the room throughout, and the manor is never let unattended.
