IPre-wedding photography, with the Manor at the heart of the story

The Dining Room, the Study, the Lounge, the Bedroom, the Gallery. Each of the Manor's eleven zones can be photographed as a distinct scene. The butler asks about your attire and the mood you wish to capture, and arranges the order of the scenes.

A pre-wedding shoot in the Manor is not a matter of swapping backdrops one after another. It connects your arrival, your dressing, the moment the doors open, the time you spend facing one another and the farewell into a single story. The butler never steps in front of the couple, but tends the transitions between scenes.

As the Manor's interior is little affected by the weather, deciding first which photograph you must have indoors makes the rest of the plan easier to build. Decide whether to begin before the double doors or with the two of you facing one another in the Dining Room, then check hems and the position of the furnishings with the butler.

IIChoose the character of the light by the time of day

Chandeliers, candlesticks and the fireplace change the impression of a scene even in the same attire. Please discuss the order of shooting, including your preferred brightness, the number of costume changes and the possibility of moving outside the Manor.

Choosing the time of day is not only about the brightness outdoors; it is about deciding which of the Manor's lights you wish to show and how much room to leave for changing and moving. Indoors, rather than relying on light from the windows, scenes are built by combining chandeliers, candlesticks and photographic lighting.

If you combine the Manor with the seaside, allow time for travel and changing. The seaside's timing and shooting conditions are confirmed once we know your preferred date and time. Shooting the scenes you must have in the Manor first, so that the order can be adjusted to outdoor conditions, gives peace of mind.

IIIAttire: choose from the Manor's wardrobe or bring your own

You are welcome to bring your own attire. If you use the Manor's morning coat ensemble, please discuss sizing in advance, using as a guide men around 160–185 cm, women around 150–160 cm and shoes 24.0–27.5 cm.

Choosing attire for a pre-wedding shoot means considering not only colour and cut, but the distance from the Manor's furnishings, movement, sitting and the possibility of going outdoors. If there is a long train or delicate accessories, please tell us when booking, together with the scenes you wish to capture.

The butler checks the fit of sleeves, collar and hem, and guides you from the Wardrobe to the shooting location. If you bring your own attire, we also decide in advance where you will change, where bags and boxes will be kept and the route to the next scene.

IVThe butler's touches live in the doors and the hands

Opening the double doors, arranging a hem, handing over flowers, pouring tea. At a distance that never intrudes on the couple, the butler adds the hands and movements each scene needs.

The butler's touches do not mean asking the couple to hold a set pose. Through the handling of the Manor's doors, attire, flowers, tea and silver, they create a cue for the couple to move naturally. Gaze and position follow the photographer's intention; the butler enters the scene only at the moments required.

Both male and female butlers are in residence. If you wish the butler to appear in the photographs, please discuss in advance whether it is the hands, the back or a recognisable face. The Manor's precepts describe photography that moves among the furnishings, capturing one scene at a time, in these words:

VFor seaside shoots, discuss the conditions first

If you hope to shoot on the Odaiba seafront, please tell us the location, date and time, attire, number of people and means of travel when booking. Going outside in the Manor's attire is by permission, with the butler accompanying you.

For a seaside pre-wedding shoot, we hear the conditions of your preferred location and time, settle attire, numbers and transport, and then take your request. We advise on the order of shooting according to each location's conditions of use.

Whether a location may be used and the conditions on the day are confirmed according to your request. In case weather or other factors make shooting outside the Manor difficult, we also choose alternative scenes indoors together, deciding in advance on candidates with a depth unlike the outdoors: the Lounge, the Gallery, the double doors.

VIPick-up for up to six: return journeys to five locations, driven by the butler

Pick-up is in a black Alphard driven by the butler, on return journeys for up to six people between the Manor and Tokyo Teleport Station, Tokyo International Cruise Terminal Station, DiverCity Tokyo Plaza, Aqua City Odaiba and Decks Tokyo Beach. Please tell us the number of people and the boarding location when booking.

Pick-up is a service that forms part of your plan. As there are days when the vehicle is unavailable, availability is confirmed when you book. Please discuss the boarding location, number of people and date and time at booking. We do not travel to locations other than the five above.

The butler drives, opens and closes the car doors and takes your luggage. If there are costumes or photographic equipment, please tell us not only the number of people, up to six, but also the kind of luggage. Departure and return times are built into the shooting order.

VIIWith the Wedding & Celebration plan, we decide how to divide the three hours

If you choose the Wedding & Celebration photography plan, it runs three hours at ¥108,800 including tax and includes butler attire for one. We build the order of shooting to include the scenes within the Manor, checking your attire and the butler's touches.

Your time covers not only the shooting itself but confirming arrangements after arrival, changing, moving between scenes, travel outside the Manor, and checking attire and belongings on return. Give the scenes you wish to capture an order of priority, and leave room after the final photograph.

If you hope to shoot outside the Manor or use pick-up, please include the travel time in your request. Tell us your preferred date and time, number of people, attire and the scenes you wish to capture, and the butler will set out the flow. Any companions beyond the couple and photographer should be counted within the maximum of six.

VIIIIn case of rain or wind, decide on a second choice within the Manor

An alternative scene is not a reluctant fallback for when shooting outside the Manor proves difficult; it is a second choice for capturing the same attire and the same story in a different expression indoors. Deciding candidates at booking means no hurried search for compositions on the day.

If you had planned to face one another by the sea, the long table in the Dining Room can stand between you. A walk seen from behind becomes the Gallery and the hall clock. Attire moving in the wind becomes the moment the double doors open. The butler tends the doors and the light.

On rainy days, the condition of wet attire and footwear is checked before they come near the Manor's furnishings. If you bring your own attire, please also discuss how to separate footwear for travel from footwear for shooting. When going out in the Manor's attire, the conditions of the butler's accompaniment and permission take priority.

IXThe order of shooting changes for one, two or with companions

The difference numbers make is not in the spaces available but in the order of dressing, the waiting places, and the movements of photographer and butler. The Manor accommodates up to six, so please count photographers and companions beyond the couple.

If individual portraits come first, the other person waits in the Lounge or the Study. If the couple's photographs are central, the movements connect in order: opening the door, walking side by side, facing one another, sitting. If there are photographs with companions, chairs and positions are decided first.

The butler does not decide compositions in the photographer's place. Following the frame the photographer sets, they arrange hems, furnishings, doors, tea and flowers. Separating the moments when the butler is asked to take a commemorative photograph on a smartphone from those shot on your own camera keeps the day clear.

XWhen booking, begin with your first choice inside the Manor

A pre-wedding consultation is not simply a question of whether the seaside is possible. It means telling us, in order, the scenes you must have in the Manor, your attire, numbers and any wishes outside the Manor, so that the story of the shoot can be built according to the conditions. The butler arranges the day's route from what has been confirmed.

Please write your preferred date and time, the breakdown of up to six people, whether you bring attire or use the Manor's, the zones you wish to shoot in, how the butler should appear, seaside candidates and the pick-up location (from the five). Outdoor shooting conditions and permission to take attire outside are confirmed once we have heard your request.

The first scene may be the butler's white glove opening the double doors, or the two of you facing one another in the Dining Room. At the end, attire and belongings are checked and we see you off at the door. Tell us your wishes for a day that runs from arrival to departure.
