A Woman's Luxurious Time Alone in Odaiba

An afternoon that answers to no one else, kept by your butler.

Queen's Butler — Definition

About A Woman's Luxurious Time Alone in Odaiba

A woman's luxurious time alone in Odaiba means time spent entirely for yourself, attended by a butler, in a Manor that is by appointment only and reserved for a single party. No other guests share the house, and whether to talk or to remain quiet is your own choice. For first-time guests, we explain how the Manor works and the sequence of the day before you book. For women only.

ICan a woman visit The Salon on her own?

Yes, you are welcome on your own. Your booked hours are reserved for one party, and you never share a table with other guests. Your butler receives you at the double doors, takes your coat and belongings, and stays at your side from the first cup of tea until the farewell.

Luxury alone is not about drawing attention; it is about deciding how to use your time without fitting around anyone else. On a day you wish to talk, your butler is your companion in conversation; on a quiet day, we withdraw to the anteroom. When to close the book you are reading, when to ask for a second cup of tea: these are yours to decide.

Queen's Butler is a house for women, run by the Japan Butler Association, a general incorporated association. Our butlers include both men and women. If you have a preference, tell us when booking and we confirm it against availability.

"Throughout your stay, your butler is always close at hand."

IIWhat is reassuring to check before booking?

Before a first visit alone, please check the address, the hours, the fees, how entry and exit work, and any preferences regarding your butler. The address is 2-7-4 Aomi, Koto-ku, Tokyo, and once your booking is confirmed we send the directions you need to arrive. The Manor is by appointment only, and we never hand over a key or let the house unattended.

Peace of mind before a visit does not come from a promise of feelings alone, but from knowing who is in the house, how the door is opened, and what can be discussed in advance. A butler remains in the house throughout your visit and attends your entry and exit. Anything you dislike, anything you would rather not be touched on, and your wishes about conversation can all be told to us when booking.

If you would prefer a female butler, please say so on the form. Having heard your wishes, we check our butlers' schedules and let you know whether it can be arranged. If a condition that matters to you cannot be met, please ask before your booking is confirmed, so that another date or another way of spending the time can be considered.

IIICan I enjoy time alone in just two hours?

Visits start from two hours. One example: receive your first cup of tea in the dining room, take a turn through the house, then settle in the fireplace room or the study. Rather than filling the schedule, choosing only tea and reading lets you feel the air of the Manor and the distance your butler keeps, even on a first visit.

Two hours are not for seeing everything in a short time, but for choosing the one scene you most want today. The scent of tea, the quiet of a leather chair, time to look at the furnishings, a desk to write a letter. Your butler prepares around the scene you have chosen and never hurries you between rooms.

The fee is ¥8,800 per hour (tax included), so two hours cost ¥17,600 (tax included). Visitors may choose from two to six hours. There is no surcharge for coming alone. Bookings open seven days ahead, and we confirm your preferred date, time and plans before sending confirmation.

IVWhat can be combined in four to six hours?

With four hours, several scenes — tea, reading, photographs, the theatre — can be combined with rests in between. With six hours, you can use the daytime or evening slot broadly, separating time for work or letters you have brought from time doing nothing at all before the fire.

A long time alone is not about getting through many experiences, but about the margin to move your place in the house whenever your mood changes. Queen's Butler has a dining room, a study, a fireplace room, a bedroom, a wardrobe and a gallery, and your butler carries what is needed to the next scene.

Chauffeured pick-up is a service that accompanies your plan. On some days the car is not available, so we confirm this when you book. A butler drives an Alphard between the Manor and five points including Tokyo Teleport Station only. Please tell us first whether your time will centre on the house or include travel.

The longer the stay, the more room we leave for doing nothing

We do not fill the gaps between plans; your butler attends only to the temperature of the tea and the distance kept.

VWhich room should I choose when alone?

On a day for quiet thought, the study; on a day for reading on a soft sofa, the fireplace room; on a day for watching the handling of the silver, the dining room. There is no need to settle on one: tell your butler your mood over the first cup of tea.

A place of your own is not about having space to yourself, but about choosing the chair and the light that suit your breathing. The study has a leather-topped desk and chair; the fireplace room a wine-red velvet sofa. In the dining room, the candlesticks and the silver bell set the distance between you and your butler.

If you would like photographs, hand your device to your butler. We take commemorative photographs in any scene of the house, and show you where to stand according to the light and the background. Spending the time unphotographed, shown to no one, is equally yours to choose.

VICan I spend the time quietly, without conversation?

Yes. Say that you would like some quiet, and your butler withdraws to the anteroom. Ring the silver bell on the table once and we come, so call only when you need: another cup of tea, a lap rug, the lighting adjusted.

Quiet service does not mean the butler does nothing; it means watching for what is needed from a position that does not disturb your concentration. Even noticing that a cup is empty, we do not always speak at once. We read your gaze and the movement of your hands, and judge whether now is a time to wait.

Conversely, on a day you wish to talk, simply say so. Books, music, the furnishings of the house, or whatever happened that day — all are welcome. If you wish to fall quiet midway, you can change at that moment. You are never required to entertain your butler.

VIICan I come on a rainy day, or after work?

Yes, on a rainy day and straight from work. Your butler takes your wet umbrella, coat and work bag at the entrance, and brings only what you need to your seat. There is no dress code; you may stay as you are or change in the wardrobe before settling in.

Luxury on a rainy day is not about forgetting the weather outside, but about being able to leave the preparations, once inside, to your butler. We allow time to straighten hems and sleeves, and ask whether you would like hot tea first or to change first. If you are running late, please do not hurry; just let us know.

If you wish to bring work, the desk in the study is at your disposal. If you need to keep online appointments or spread out papers, please tell us the purpose when booking. Afterwards, your butler prepares tea, and you may move to the fireplace room with the lights lowered.

VIIIWhat changes if I choose the late-night stay alone?

The late-night stay is for one guest only, a fixed thirteen hours from 8 pm to 9 am the following morning. A table laid with what you have brought, the theatre, the study, rest on the 19th-century French bed, and morning tea: a longer sequence than the two to six hours of a daytime or evening visit, all within one house.

Time alone at night does not mean hiring the house empty; it means spending until morning with a butler always present. No key is handed over. While you rest, your butler withdraws to the anteroom and answers the silver bell or your call.

Meals are not served. You are welcome to bring your own food and drink, so please bring whatever you need for the night and the morning. If you would like to use our tableware or be served, please discuss the details in advance.

Keeping the door until morning is also the butler's work

Even with only one guest, the house is never left unattended.

IXHow do I book time for myself?

On the booking form, give your preferred date and time, the length of your visit, and one guest; then tell us one or two things you would like to do. "I want to read quietly", "I would prefer a female butler", "It is my first time, please guide me through" — the more specific your wishes, the more easily they become the preparations on the day.

Booking a visit alone is not about making a grand plan. It is about separating the conditions you will not compromise on from the things you would rather decide by mood on the day. Your butler's gender and anything you would rather not be touched on can be settled in advance; the room and the number of cups of tea can be decided when you arrive.

If there is anything you wish to ask Queen's Butler before confirming, please use the form. We check butler availability, the Manor's schedule and whether your wishes can be met, then send confirmation. Mention that it is your first visit, and we begin with the sequence on arrival.
