About The Overnight Stay

The Overnight Stay is a Salon experience in which one guest spends a night at the Manor, thirteen hours from 8 pm to 9 am. From the silver-laid table, a film before the fire and reading in the study to the 19th-century French bed and morning tea, a butler remains in the Manor and at your side throughout. For women only.

From dusk to morning

Even on your first night, the butler guides you from one scene to the next

The Overnight Stay at Queen's Butler is a night and morning at the Manor for one guest, from the butler's welcome at 8 pm as dusk falls until your departure at 9 am. Even once the double doors have closed, you are never left alone: the butler remains in the Manor's anteroom throughout.

From the silver-laid table to the fireplace room, and once the 120-inch screen has played, to the study or the bedroom. There is no need to decide every detail before you arrive. The butler adjusts the lights, asks your wishes and attends you in turn through the quiet before sleep and the morning's dressing.

The Overnight Stay is for one guest only. If you wish to enjoy the Manor with two or more, please see the two- to six-hour daytime and evening sessions. The thirteen hours from 8 pm to 9 am cannot be divided, and the visitor fee is ¥102,000 (tax inc.).

The key remains with the butler

No key is handed over; the butler guards the door through the night

No key is handed over. In this Manor, guarding the door is also the butler's work. Keeping the key is our promise that the butler holds the comings and goings and the safety of the house through the night. We never close the door on the lady of the house alone, and we never hire out the Manor unattended.

Guarding the door means the butler opens it for your arrival at 8 pm and sees you out at 9 am, holding the hours between. Within the Manor you may spend your time in the fireplace room, the study and the bedroom. Queen's Butler is operated by the Japan Butler Association, a general incorporated association.

The bed, too, is a training fixture in the education of butlers. It serves the butler's practice of making up linen, arranging the surroundings of the bed and leading into the morning's dressing, and it may also be used for your rest during the stay. Once you have seen the black silk damask and the burgundy linen, please tell your butler your wishes for morning tea and your clothes.

Six streaming services

Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, U-NEXT, YouTube, ABEMA and Disney+ are available.

The theatre begins when the 120-inch motorised screen hidden in the fireplace room rises and the butler dims the 1920s French six-arm chandelier. Before the wine-red velvet sofa and the electric flames, choose the night's film.

Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, U-NEXT, YouTube, ABEMA and Disney+ are supported. The butler sets the screen and the lights, and brings your drinks.

Whether you watch to the end or move to the study partway through is for the night's mood to decide. If you wish to open a book after the film, or take tea before retiring, tell your butler the next scene. The lights are restored, and you are shown from the fireplace room to the next room.
